How It Works
If your primary care physician or podiatrist has diagnosed you with diabetes and one of the six qualifying conditions recognized by Medicare, you may be eligible to receive a pair of therapeutic diabetic shoes and custom orthotics — often at little or no cost to you every 12 months.
Your medical provider may refer you directly to Priority Footwear, or you can contact one of our 12 clinic locations to schedule your appointment. Our team will handle the entire process from start to finish.
Once your appointment is booked:
- Our office staff will send the required paperwork to your medical provider for certification.
- We will contact your insurance provider to verify eligibility and coverage.
- When approvals are in place, you’ll come in for your foot assessment and 3D scan to design your custom footwear and orthotics.
- At Priority Footwear, we make the process simple and fully compliant with Medicare diabetic shoe guidelines — so you can focus on your comfort, mobility, and long-term foot health.
